South African World Records confirmed Guinness World Records
In a small town just of the N2 you would find the worlds largest hand knitted jersey (jumper), knitted by 22 grannies and one of them was blind. This record was confirmed by Guinness World Records. South African World Records took the ladies (mostly senior citizens) just over 6 months to knit the jersey and they used more than 25kg of wool.
This record was set in Albertinia close to Mosselbaai, South Africa. The farm offers a Tiny Town, the second smallest electric train set in the world and a small dinner called The Plaas Kombuis - Translated from Afrikaans - The Farm Kitchen. They claim to have the best burgers on the N2 (The national road from Cape Town to Durban) but we all have our opinions. Generally it was well worth stopping there and you can see elephants just a couple of km's away.
